Black Chemistry Alana-Lee Music Single Artwork Original Song

"Black Chemistry" is a song for anyone who has been distracted by lust or love. A reminder to live life outside of romantic pursuits. A jazz-pop crossover track with tom toms, percussive rhythms, jazzy piano, backing vocals, intricate bass and organ.

Escape Act Alana-Lee Music Single Artwork Original Song

"Escape Act" was influenced by a debaucherous night out at a laneway cabaret event in Sydney. The production has an alluring sense of mystery and edge with moody percussive rhythms, meandering hooky melodies and a seductive vocal.

Weeds Alana-Lee Music Single Artwork Original Song

"Weeds" is an off-beat, dark, piano and vocal-driven track featuring timpani and an acoustic-industrial shift at the 2min mark. It reflects how humans are destroying the earth with overpopulation and industrialisation.

Lurking on the edge of sweet-toeing-the-line and sass-queen, singer-songwriter Alana-Lee is no wholesome wall-flower. A religious childhood in Fiji followed by teen rebellion and adult adventuring have allowed the balanced Sydneysider a unique perspective of the light and dark side of life, which she stirs into her songs as an invitation to see the world through a bigger lens.

Alana-Lee’s alluring and bewitching production sounds add another dimension to the traditional female piano singer-songwriter as her singles Black Chemistry (Oct 2020), Escape Act (Dec 2020) and Weeds (June 2021) defy through their moody percussive rhythms, meandering hooky melodies and enticing vocals.

This new sound sees her tracks being played by Double J, 4ZZZ, Radio Adelaide, VoxFM, Edge Radio and Fine Music Sydney.

Her debut EP, Freedom In The Fall, was released in November 2016 with songs Walking For Water, Russian Doll and Freedom In The Fall also supported by Community Radio.

A new live streamer and experimental home studio producer, Alana-Lee releases her next single in 2024.
